When Torquay Stockfeeds shut its doors in 2023 after 46 years serving the Surf Coast, it left a real gap - and a lot of local farmers, hobby block owners and pet lovers scrambling to find a new go-to.
That's exactly why Surfcoast Rural exists.
A Local Stockfeed Store, Back Where It Belongs
We opened in Torquay because the Surf Coast is genuine farming country. There's a big green belt surrounding the town, home to everything from small hobby properties with a few chooks and a pony, through to serious commercial operations running cattle and sheep. When the old stockfeed store closed, that whole community was suddenly without a local supplier for the basics.
We're independently owned and run by people who grew up here and have hands-on experience in animal care, husbandry and farming. We’re not a franchise, or a warehouse an hour away. Founder Kel Elevato and the team built Surfcoast Rural specifically to fill that gap and become the first place Surf Coast locals think of for their property or animal needs.

Not everyone can get into town easily, especially if you're out on a larger property or juggling a busy week. We run weekly stockfeed and farm supply deliveries within the Torquay region and beyond, so you can stock up without the trip into town.

You'll find us at 5/22 Cylinders Drive, Torquay. Coming from the Surf Coast Highway, keep going past Haystacks Drive and we're right next to Kitchenology and Body Sculpting Fitness (Google Maps will get you there without a hitch).
